I saw this recently.


A beautiful Japanese marionette.


And a school uniform for a little Japanese boy.
You can tell his mother had to let down the hem when he grew.


A kimono for his little sister


And a sash to tie it up decorated with tiny tie dye and embroidery.

These were at a textile museum in La Conner. I went with my textile history class.
